The Fifth Blacklight Lounge Party Gallery

The Fifth Blacklight Lounge Party - August 3rd, 2007. After nearly a year’s passing from the last Blacklight gathering, Strive and I returned to our home territory to touch the sands of time once more. And this time around, it was all about nonstop, tag-team action — united as one and undeniably twice as potent! From 9:30-10:30 pm, I dropped my most dirty, funked-up electro tracks (like Mellefresh & Deadmau5’s “Hey Baby” and BSOD’s “Even More Sketchy”), and Strive responded with a handfull of moving elektrance beats (such as Shawn Mitiska, Cerf and Jaren’s “Light The Skies [Retrobyte Remix]“. Then from 10:30-11:30 pm, the most dark and hardhitting psy trance tracks were unleashed… and people’s feet weren’t even touching the ground! Yahel, Astrix, and Infected Mushroom flooded the speakers with heavy rocktronics and basslines… “Meduzze” from IM’s “IM The Supervisor” led to a vicious uproar on the floor and the room was screaming for more! This night will always be a reminder — nothing rocks harder than a pinch of pounding Psychadelic Trance! From 11:30 pm to midnight, requests were taken and classic BLL tracks were once again given another chance to shine.

After the clock struck twelve, I announced my new DJ alias. The days of spinning as Swirley were announced to be forever dead, and a new DJ rose from the ashes of past memories! It was at this moment that I exposed my soul as “Souldier VII” and was given new sight and overwhelmed with truth and light. This event fulfilled the prophecy of the summer of rebirth, and now a new era of peace, love, and sound is coming into fruition…

Unfortunately there are no live recordings available from this party. Strive and I decided to sacrifice the recording for superior live sound quality. If you’d like to hear some of the tunes that went down at this event, please call us up and we would more than willing to refresh your memory!
