To the souls of this planet and beyond,

Alas, I am completely out of energy with this post… I’ve been working for the past 48 hours on my graphic design portfolio (both online and off) and I am proud to say that I am caught up with everything! This brings me such happiness to say these words… I’ve wanted to announce this for the past year or so and haven’t been able to (due to time constraints). But now, please check out my design section to see what I’ve been brewing up. All of those hours spent at night in the studio at school are finally here for you to see. Please leave me comments and any constructive criticism you may have for me. I would appreciate it very much.

The Annual Student Juried Art Show at St. Norbert College is approaching fast. February 4th marks the cut-off time for submissions! I’m getting incredibly stoked for this exhibit as it marks one of the most important events of the school year for art majors. I will be submitting my clock illustration (in an 8″ clock frame), my Starkillers 20×30″ poster (in a black frame), and a black and white glossy print of my favorite afterhours photograph of 2007 entitled “Hush”. It’s of Dai and I gazing out at Minneapolis’ city horizonline in complete silence while standing on the shore of Lake Calhoun at midnight. I’m sure most of you have seen it already, but I don’t want to give away too many details here. Having these pieces ready, I can finally rest in peace and hope for only the best of luck when the time comes to hand over the works to the faculty.

Today, Kinko’s messed up my printing order for my latest work of 10 pieces (around an estimated $160 charge that I declined to pay for) and I have decided to stay away from them from now on. It makes me realize how great media services is at St. Norbert College. The quality of their printing cannot be beat anywhere. Plus, as a student, you get about 50% off the market prices which is always a kicker. Why choose anything else? I guess I learned my lesson. When I get back to school, I’ll have it all printed for probably $80 tops. I would’ve hate to spend the majority of my 21st birthday money on printing costs.

Also, I appologize for being slow on the following information. As 2007 faded out into the brilliant, gleaming new year of 2008, I produced three new one hour vocal EDM mixes that tie in nicely with the snowy season. Together, they make up a project entitled “The Winter Triad” which represents three sides of winter I have been thinking about. There’s the side of missing people, the side of contemplating the beauty of nature, and then the side of questioning what is to come and looking back on what has been. Feel free to bring it up in our next conversation for more details! Anyways, up first is the ultra long progression with Mix 1 - Snowlight (The Sincere Winter Mix), a vocal trance mix that is both deep and powerful. It’s lyrical work is potent and straight from the heart. This mix is best paired with candlelight in the late hours of the night. Second up is a mystical session known as Mix 2 - Stardust (The Winter Understanding Mix), a trance set that truly speaks without words and helps you to understand the grace of the season and what it implies. Just short of an hour, this mix is overflowing with uplifting, melodic and overall magical sounds. Surely it will put a smile on your face and lighten your spirit! Last but not least is the juggernaut of pure feeling titled Mix 3 - Eternal (The Winter Reconciliation Mix). Eternal is a vocal trance mix presenting some highly emotional content that may very well bring you to tears. It is my pleasure to bring you some of the most impressive tracks of the past several years with this progression. Enjoy the reconciliation in peace! With that said, what are you waiting for my friends? Please lend an ear to the mixes and leave some feedback either here or on my facebook group, “PLURALITY -with- SOULDIER VII.” All information regarding DJ’ing shows, gigs, events, and mixes will be kept updated there, so check it out to see what’s going on in the underground scene. Also note that I will be posting a new page dedicated to these new mixes on this site (complete with designs and tracklists) as soon as I take some winter photographs with my new Manfrotto tripod. May 2008 bring forward many great mixes from DJ’s and artists everywhere, as well as a plethora of killer gigs by top notch acts such as Daft Punk, Infected Mushroom, and Above & Beyond! Let’s pray for the best!

Tomorrow my buddies David Baierl and Mike Johnson come to the cities to kick it at my place for a couple days! I’m so pumped to see these guys and have some great times with them before second semester begins! Everyone else, it’s been wonderful hanging out with you and seeing your charming faces after being away for so long. It brings me great happiness to hear that everyone is doing well, in good health, and working hard. Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect to all ye souls under the starry skies above.

May compassion and loving kindness find all hearts — both thriving and broken.
