Here’s a look at my first theater production stills of an epic play entitled Metamorphoses, presented by the SNC theater department. The play itself was written by Mary Zimmerman, but is based on David R. Slavitt’s translation of The Metamorphoses of Ovid. The following is a short description of the play from the SNC theater department website:
“Called by Time the “theater event of the year,” Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses brings Ovid’s tales to stunning visual life. Metamorphoses juxtaposes the ancient and the contemporary in both language and image to reflect the variety and persistence of narrative in the face of inevitable change.”
This is a new area of photography I am quite interested in and would love to explore further. I’m looking forward to collaborating with the theater department in the future for more opportunities to capture such powerful and raw emotions. The experience was incredible and deeply rewarding for the soul.
Currently, I am selling prints of these photographs. They are now on sale at 25% off their original markup to cast members and their families. The standard non-sale prices are as follows: 8×10″ - $16 | 5×7″ - $12 | 4×6″ - $8. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing any of these photographs for you or your loved ones.
